ABOUT GEL LASHES

Light-cured extensions are applied exactly the same way as traditional lash extensions, except that the gel adhesive cures instantly with a special light after application. The result?

1. No more waiting 24 hours for your lashes to dry before you can get them wet.

2. If you're sensitive to lash glue fumes, this may be a safer, more comfortable option for you.

3. Results last longer due to a more flexible and secure bond.

SAFETY

If you're concerned about safety, no worries. Unlike the UV lights in nail salons to cure gel manicures, the device that I use is, according to the manufacterur, "...the first and only device in the world to be rated safe to ANSI RP-27 standards and the relevant provisions of ACGIH, IEC, ICNIRP, and IES specifications for exposure to UV, visible, and infrared radiation. The LED peaks in the visible light spectrum, above 400nm. It is not in the UV spectrum. It has also been passed CE certification and IEC62471 safety measures by third party labs."

That last part is important. It is not on the UV-spectrum, which is why they're "LED-cured" and not "UV-cured," so there's no need to worry about UV radiation on the skin. Furthermore, the light only shines on the eyelash itself and not on the surrounding skin. It's so gentle and low-powered that almost all of my clients aren't aware when it's on, even when it's shining right near the eyelid.

SERVICES & TIMING

Classic gel lash services:

Full Set (2.5 hours) - Fresh start or if you have very few lashes remaining

Basic Fill (1 hr) - recommended every 2-2.5 weeks

Extended Fill (75 min) - recommended every 3-3.5 weeks

Transfer Fill (1.5 hrs) - for those with extensions who want to transfer to classic gel lashes

Volume gel lash services:

Full Set (3hrs) - Fresh start or if you have very few remaining lashes

Basic Fill (75 min) - recommended every 2-2.5 weeks

Extended Fill (90 min) - recommended every 3-3.5 weeks

Transfer Fill (1hr 45 min) - for those want to transfer to gel / upgrade to volume lashes

HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

Please arrive on time and with clean eyelashes.

 

As awesome as these LED gel lashes are, they won't work if there's makeup, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, or oil on the eyelashes. I do perform a light cleaning that gets superficial oil off the eyelashes, but it won't remove makeup. If we need to shampoo your eyelashes, the washing and drying will cut into your appointment time significantly.  While I'm happy to do it, I highly recommend booking more time for your fill if you need a lash wash. (i.e., Book an Extended Fill instead of a Basic Fill, or book a Transfer Fill instead of an Extended Fill.)

 

When in doubt, book more time. I'll drop you down to the smaller service if we don't need the extra time. (Promise. My clients can vouch.)
